Using a Radford Essay Topic
The last two years, I've been spending quite a bit of time talking to college students about their Advanced Placement (AP) English As A Second Language (ESL) essay topics. These topics are big for AP English classes. Students know that they are critical to them getting high grades, but not everyone knows exactly what is expected of an AP English essay topic. Here are some things that students can think about when preparing for a strong AP English essay topic.
You are most likely going to be required to take a test on the topic, which is why you are making a common mistake. You should consider putting together a study guide that includes facts about the topic. Writing an accurate study guide will help you get the information you need for your essay as soon as possible. Don't worry too much about the test, though, as there will be plenty of practice tests that are more than adequate.
Think about what you are going to talk about and how many of the following types of public documents you will have to include.
